How do the packages differ from a staff augmentation contract?

Each package ends in a deliverable: an assessment, a roadmap, a prototype or a monthly review. It is scoped work with a stated end, not a person placed in your team.

Can we start with the roadmap and skip the assessment?

Yes, if the data and systems position is already documented. If it is not, the roadmap is written on assumptions that nobody has checked, which is usually the more expensive route.

Who owns the prototype built in the pilot package?

You do. The prototype and its documentation are handed over as part of the engagement, together with the evaluation criteria used to judge it.

Do you work with in-house engineering teams?

Usually. Most engagements are a review or a joint build with an existing team, and the handover is written with that team in mind.

How are conflicts of interest handled if you compare vendors?

We do not resell licences or take vendor commissions. Comparison criteria are stated before the shortlist is drawn up, so the reasoning can be checked independently of the conclusion.

What happens at the end of an advisory retainer?

It stops at the end of the paid month unless it is renewed. Documents and access belong to you, and no notice period is imposed.
